Rock Band With Disabilities

Can you read sheet music? Can you play an instrument? Write your own songs? Learn over 100 cover songs? But you have a disability so that's not going to happen. WRONG!!!!!!!!!

The band, FLAME, from upstate New York, has rocked everywhere they've been.

They have played on national television (Good Morning America), NYC Mayor Bloomberg, at disability rights advocate Eunice Kennedy Schriver's wake, and abroad (Greece.)

What "makes FLAME special? Each of the band’s 11 members has some kind of disability, such as autism, Down syndrome, blindness or a cognitive disability."

Over the years, the group has released three CDs: “All for a Reason,” “Holiday Classics,” and “Live at the Glove.” A fourth is expected to be available this November."
