Is the ADA hurting people with disabilities? Would the disability community be better off had the ADA not passed? Think of the changes in your life if you have a disability (if you don't think of the changes you see), would they have been made had the ADA not been enacted?
Some people (as we've mentioned before U.S. Senate Republican candidate from Kentucky Rand Paul) thinks businesses should be allowed to make their own accommodations, but he's joined by people with disabilities as well. This scenario not only includes being a consumer but looking for employment. The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is (estimated at) 60%.
