Obesity A Disability?

"Fat can be disabling. A person 180 pounds over a healthy weight is susceptible to arthritis, has increased blood pressure, a weakened heart and could soon need a walker just to get around.

The American Medical Association voted Tuesday against calling obesity a disability, but those fighting for insurance coverage and size discrimination laws think the decision might hurt activist efforts.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, such a person could legally be labeled as disabled.

But should obesity be considered a disability? On Tuesday the American Medical Association voted a resounding no at its annual meeting."

Drive-Through For Motor Vehicles Only

It's around midnight and your hungry, like Harold & Kumar, you want White Castle. You arrive to find out the dining area closes at 11 pm. What do you do? Go somewhere that's open 24 hours? Go home? But wait there's a drive-through. What if you don't have a car? But you've got a wheelchair and that's close enough.

You go to the drive-through and you are denied ordering. You leave without anything.

White Castle apologizes but it's their policy not allow ordering at the drive-through unless it's by "licensed motor vehicles only." Now what do you do? Sue White Castle.

This is an interesting story that you can see both sides being right.
